My name is Adam F. Kemmerling, the owner of AFK Accounting. I live in Deltona, FL and travel frequently to the Columbus, Ohio area which is where I am originally from. I am married to my wife Jennifer who is a Registered Nurse and I have 7 children. I have been serving the community for nearly three decades in a variety of ways from licensed foster parent to a retail furniture and mattress store owner in Ohio.
I went into the Accounting and Forensic Accounting area because of my love of numbers, I look at them as a puzzle that needs to fit together. The forensic piece excites me because I enjoy finding where the money went, which is why I enjoyed my nearly 5 years in the Fraud department at JP Morgan Chase Bank. I have been preparing tax returns for over 20 years and I graduated from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio Summa Cum Laude with a dual major in Accounting and Forensic Accounting. I am also a proud member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
Before transitioning to an accountant role full-time, I spent 18 years in the retail furniture business. I started as a young salesman and through hard work ethic instilled upon me by my father, I worked my way up and ended up owning my own company of 4 stores with my good friend. I have dealt with every aspect of the retail business as well, which comes in handy when helping clients with their business needs.
